Hikmah Puasa Ramadhan: Tinggalkan Keburukan, Perbanyak Kebaikan

Rasulullah saw bersabda: “Jika datang bulan Ramadhan, pintu-pintu surga dibuka, pintu-pintu neraka ditutup, dan setan-setan dibelenggu.

Puasa Ramadhan adalah bulan yang penuh berkah, bulan yang berlimpah pahala. Hal yang Allah taala sendiri menyatakan demikian. Tetapi disisi lain hal tersebut tidaklah mengherankan bagi kita, karena memang bisa dikatakan Puasa Ramadhan adalah Mi’rajnya ibadah-ibadah –ibadah yang paling mulia yang didalamnya menyatu seluruh ibadah. Segenap ibadah mencapai puncaknya dan menjelma di dalam bentuk puasa.

Jadi seorang yang berpuasa, yang menahan lapar haus, dan hawa nafsu  - maka lapar hausnya itu tidak akan berbobot atau malah tercemar jikalau dia tidak meninggalkan perkataan dusta dan perbuatan maksiat lainnya. Lapar dan hausnya tidak juga akan bermutu jika ibadah puasanya tidak dihiasi dengan basahnya bibir dalam Zikir Ilahi, tidak dihiasi dengan ibadah-ibadah wajib dan ibadah sunnah. Begitu juga lapar dan hausnya itu tidak akan sempurna jika belum diikuti dengan amal saleh, khususnya sedekah.

Jadi tidak ada suatu indera manusia pun yang tidak terpengaruh oleh puasa. Setiap indera menjadi terkendali dibuatnya. Setiap keinginan manusia menjadi terikat oleh batasan, dan tidak merajalela. Semua itu karena puasa.

Maka dapat kita katakan babwa hakikat dari pintu-pintu neraka itu sebenarnya adalah pintu-pintu panca indera manusia. Apabila indera itu menjadi leluasa, dosa pun akan timbul. Maka melalui indera itulah manusia masuk ke dalam neraka. Jadi tertutupnya pintu-pintu neraka pada Bulan Ramadhan artinya adalah bahwa mukmin menutup bagi diri mereka seluruh pintu yang dapat membawa mereka ke neraka.

Membiasakan diri membaca dan mengkaji Alquran, membiasakan diri berzikir Ilahi, membiasakan diri berdoa, membiasakan diri memenuhi hak-hak sesama, membiasakan lidah sama sekali suci dari dusta, membiasakan diri untuk berkata benar dan bersih, membiasakan diri berkata lurus  semua kesempatan ini hanya dapat diperoleh melalui puasa.

Jadi artinya adalah sebagai ganti dari setiap keburukan ciptakanlah kebaikan. Dan sebgai ganti dari suatu kondisi buruk , ciptakanlah suatu keindahan. Sehingga dengan melalui satu bulan penuh secara terus menerus dengan upaya gigih tersebut, maka keburukan-keburukan kita akan terlepas dan tertinggal ke belakang. Dan kebaikan-kebaikan kita semakin bertambah maju akibat berkah-berkah Ramadhan, melesat kedapan dengan cahaya yang luar biasa. Sehingga setiap Ramadhan datang kondisi kita menjadi lebih baik dari sebelumnya. Inilah yang merupakan maksud dari puasa
